Bringing Community Back!

TCP continues to be blown away by the support of our local partners! We love what we do, but without them there would be no way to bring high-calibre community theatre to Wilmot. Here are just a few of the many partnerships we rely on each year as we do our part in Bringing Community Back.

In addition to TCP specific messages, our community highway sign was used to promote 246 other community events between 2014-2021! These messages are physically changed by TCP volunteers, even in the middle of the Winter!

TCP remains thankful for Alloy Casting Industries Ltd. who provides the location for the sign, in prime real estate along highway 7/8. Alloy Casting also contributes financially to the yearly upkeep and maintenance in pursuit of supporting Wilmot’s community groups.

TCP remains thankful for Josslin Insurance, in the heart of downtown New Hamburg at 118 Peel Street, for offering their space for this in-person option.  The Wagler family is always quick to say “yes” when we ask to use their space, computers, and printers.

TCP is woven into the fabric of Wilmot. Consider this building that you might pass, if travelling on Waterloo Street in New Hamburg. This is where TCP stores all our costumes and props. By having a place to safely store items, we are able to recycle and reuse items year after year.

Thanks to Riverside Brass for providing warm storage space to TCP. David, Susan, and the entire Riverside staff team are always willing to help out, in any way they can! In fact, in 2019, an additional donation to TCP allowed us to purchase our own rehearsal sound system which supports actor vocal health.

Did you know...

The New Hamburg Grandstand was rebuilt in 2009 by the Township of Wilmot. Since that time, TCP has shared space underneath with the local Optimist Club, to store our over 700 theatre chairs! That’s where they are kept between shows. Each production, it takes cart after cart and many strong volunteers to move them to and from the grandstand, in order to seat our patrons. The chairs are feats in themselves.

Thanks to the Township of Wilmot for always finding ways to work with TCP and meet the needs of community groups across our wonderful Township. Your support of the Arts is appreciated.
