Support TCP

The Community Players of New Hamburg (TCP) is looking to add members to their Leadership Team. The Leadership Team (some organizations call it their ‘Board’) makes corporate and artistic decisions on behalf of the organization.

The Leadership Team is a working group, not merely a decision making group.

We are currently looking for team members with the following strengths/skills:

  1. Education outreach, including the management of our Student Matinee and producing its support material
  2. Show production help:
    1. Front of house management
    2. Social organization – company and audience venue

We are looking for candidates who can help with our current productions in the areas of marketing, social media, writing and communication. Can you manage a video camera and a computer screen? Can you represent our group at public venues? Can you help to physically place our marketing tools in the community? Can you lead volunteer teams on our work days?

It is understood that all new Team members will have a learning curve. You will be amazed at how much we accomplish between meetings. Our working motto is: How can we get this done?

Members of the Leadership Team are expected to attend meetings about nine times a year (usually the last Saturday of the month). Many discussions and decisions are made between meetings, but face-to-face meetings are vital.  In the past year, three of our nine meetings were conducted by Skype; six were in person. Discussions during meetings are often frank and are always confidential. Members of our Leadership do not receive financial compensation for their work. Choice of successful applicants is up to the discretion of the current Leadership Team.
