TCP’s 2020 Productions of Beauty and the Beast and To Kill a Mockingbird have been postponed.
The Leadership Team of The Community Players of New Hamburg has been watching with great interest the developments with regards to the spread of the Covid-19 virus and the public response to keeping the virus contained.
Along with the members of our Directing Team, we have always placed a tremendous value on the health and safety of our cast, crew, orchestra and our audience.
Although we are halfway through the rehearsal process and many plans have been made to bring the show to the stage from May 7-10, at this time we feel that from a public health and safety perspective we need to postpone our production of Beauty and the Beast and the fall staging of To Kill A Mockingbird until further notice.
In acknowledgement of the thousands of hours already contributed by TCP’s volunteers in all aspects of the show it is our intention to adjust the performance dates for Beauty and the Beast to at an appropriate time this fall or next spring when we’re confident that the risks and danger to our company and audience has been reduced. We will make a further announcement once we’ve had time to connect with our TCP family and production partners.
For those who have purchased tickets for our 2020 season we appreciate your ongoing support and plan to be in contact in the near future to discuss options moving forward.
Thanks for your ongoing support of TCP and community theatre, and we are still looking forward to seeing you at an upcoming show in the future.
