Corey Agnew
Stage Acting
As an Associate Director and Resident Director for the past 16 years, Corey has had the opportunity to work on Broadway, for Mirvish in Toronto, in Australia, Mexico, South Korea and throughout the United States. He has worked with some of the most prolific producers, directors and theatre artists in the world, including Disney Theatrical, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Sir Richard Eyre, Matthew Bourne, Ted Dykstra and Colm Wilkinson.
Favourite credits include Mary Poppins, Les Misérables, Matilda, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Sunshine Boys, Robin Hood and The Phantom of the Opera.
In addition to his work as a director, Corey has been an acting coach for youth and teens for nearly 20 years. His students have worked on Broadway, in film and television, at the Stratford Festival, for Mirvish, on multiple U.S. tours and on stages across North America.

Darren Burkett
Musical Theatre Dance
Darren is thrilled to be back at TCP! His selected choreographic work includes Into the Woods (TCP), Guys and Dolls (KWMP), Legally Blonde (Mainstage Theatre), Edges (Two Monkeys), A Funny Thing Happened… and Guys and Dolls (Vancouver Lawyer Show), and Eternal Hydra (Touchstone Theatre).
His assistant choreographic work includes Frozen (Neptune Theatre), Kiss of the Spider Woman (Eclipse Theatre Company) and Buddy (The Globe).
Darren has also performed across Canada with companies including Neptune Theatre, The Ross Petty Panto, Stage West, Drayton Entertainment, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Western Canada Theatre, Persephone Theatre, The Arts Club Theatre, Chemainus Theatre Festival and many more.
He is the recipient of a Jessie Richardson Award for Outstanding Performance for A Year With Frog and Toad and an Ovation Award for Male Gypsy of the Year.

Tammy Whetham
Mini Musical Theatre
Tammy Whetham is a singer, performer, voice teacher and arts educator who loves helping young performers discover the joy of musical theatre! With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Tammy has worked with students of all ages, helping them build confidence, creativity and a love of performing.
Tammy holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Voice from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed additional musical theatre training at The Banff Centre and NYU Steinhardt. As a performer, she has appeared in productions including Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and Alice in Wonderland, as well as performing as her musical persona, Miss Tammy Darling.
Tammy currently teaches voice from her private studio in Cambridge and teaches musical theatre camp at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts. She especially loves working with children and creating a positive, encouraging environment where everyone feels comfortable singing, acting, moving, being silly and trying something new!
Whether students are stepping onto a stage for the first time or already love performing, Tammy’s goal is to help every child find their voice, build confidence and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
Jennie Such
Vocal Training 1
An alumna of the Royal College of Music (U.K.), Jennie holds postgraduate diplomas in Opera and Concert Singing. As an emerging artist, she was a member of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble and the Vancouver Opera Touring Ensemble, and has performed nationally and internationally as a soloist in opera, oratorio, recital and musical theatre productions.
As a voice teacher and coach, Jennie has worked in both contemporary and classical spaces and is interested in combining elements of bel-canto and contemporary commercial music vocal techniques into her pedagogy.
Jennie is a member of the voice faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she is a Lecturer in Classical and Contemporary Voice. She also holds the unique position of Resident Singing Coach on the internationally recognized coaching team at the Stratford Festival of Canada. During her 12-year tenure, she has coached vocal music in more than 50 productions of plays and musicals. Since 2016, she has also coached singing in the Birmingham Conservatory, the elite young artist training programme at the Stratford Festival.
Outside of the Stratford Festival, Jennie has worked on professional musical theatre productions including the Canadian companies of Billy Elliot (Mirvish), Fun Home (Mirvish) and The Hockey Sweater (National Arts Centre).
Through her work with actors, Jennie has observed many parallels between the art of the professional actor and that of the professional singer, and is interested in combining ideas about text, sound, physicality and authenticity from these complementary worlds.
Robert Markus
Vocal Training 2
Robert is a Stratford-based actor, singer and educator. He is most recently known to audiences for performing the titular role in Dear Evan Hansen, presented by Mirvish Productions, for which he received a Toronto Theatre Critics Award and a Dora Award nomination.
Recently, Robert played J.M. Barrie in Drayton Entertainment’s Canadian premiere production of Finding Neverland. Previously, he appeared as Riff Raff in the Stratford Festival’s highly acclaimed production of The Rocky Horror Show, for which he received the BroadwayWorld Toronto Award for Best Male in a Featured Role.
Other Stratford credits include Tommy in The Who’s Tommy, Mark Cohen in Rent, as well as roles in A Wrinkle in Time, Chicago, The Music Man and Fiddler on the Roof.
His other selected credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Theatre Aquarius), Jesus Christ Superstar (Mayfield Theatre), Into the Woods (Royal Conservatory – Koerner Hall), Next to Normal (Theatre Calgary and Citadel Theatre), Shrek and Dream a Little Dream (Grand Theatre), as well as productions with Drayton Entertainment, The Shaw Festival, Young People’s Theatre, Ross Petty Productions and The Musical Stage Company.
Robert’s work has received nominations for Dora Mavor Moore, BroadwayWorld, My Entertainment World, Sterling, Betty Mitchell and Calgary Critics’ Awards.
When Robert is not onstage, he develops his skills as a teacher and coach, focusing on vocal coaching and lessons, acting through song, monologue coaching and contemporary musical theatre workshops.
Brooke Gamble

Brooke Gamble is the Artistic Director of The Community Players of New Hamburg (TCP), where she has led productions including Into the Woods, A Christmas Carol, Matilda and Anne of Green Gables.
An ACTRA member and professional performer, Brooke has appeared in productions including Ginny & Georgia, The Handmaid’s Tale, I Woke Up a Vampire and various Hallmark productions.
A graduate of the University of Guelph’s Theatre Studies program, Brooke brings both professional industry experience and a passion for community theatre to her work with TCP. She is dedicated to creating engaging, high-quality theatre experiences while providing opportunities for performers of all ages to learn, grow and connect through the arts.
Arturo Zepeda
Seussical Audition
Arturo is a versatile music director, conductor and composer. He served as Musical Director at ITESM University from 2005–2021, leading productions including West Side Story, The Frogs, AIDA and Legally Blonde.
His credits include composing for multidisciplinary spectacles and short films, as well as playing harmonica for the animated feature film Una Película de Huevos.
Most recently, Arturo served as Associate Musical Director for The Wizard of Oz with KWMP (2025) and Musical Director for TCP’s Into the Woods (2026).
Laura Salgado Flores
Seussical Audition
Laura Salgado Flores is a Mexican-Canadian vocal coach, performer and writer. She has more than 20 years of experience empowering voices, building stage presence and fostering music appreciation.
Trained in violin at the José Guadalupe Velázquez Music Conservatory and experienced in classical polyphony, monumental choral works and award-winning professional musical theatre, she specializes in both spoken and sung vocal technique.
Laura is also an active storyteller, author of the bilingual book Cuentos de aquí y de allá, and creator of the multi-season children’s music and literacy podcast El imaginario del dragón.
Now based in Waterloo, ON, she actively collaborates across the region to promote oral traditions, community music and stage performance.
Julie Miller
Seussical Audition
Julie is a retired elementary music educator who taught JK–8 vocal and instrumental music with the WRDSB for most of her teaching career. She now enjoys teaching piano, singing, guitar and ukulele from her home studio.
Julie completed her A.Mus. (piano teacher) diploma through the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music. She has studied Lovetri’s Somatic Voicework and completed a Singing Teacher Certificate through the Institute for Vocal Advancement.
Over the years, Julie has led a variety of choirs and musical ensembles, served as Music Director for her school’s production of The Lion King Jr., worked as an accompanist for choirs, shows and events, and been a guest conductor for the Kodály Choral Festival.
Julie continues to develop her own singing, dancing and drama skills through participation in the Drayton Academy, Guelph Community Singers and K-W Glee/Pop Nation’s adult group. She currently sits on the Executive Committee for the Kodály Choral Festival.
At TCP, Julie has served as a rehearsal and show accompanist, Assistant Vocal Coach and Assistant Music Director. She is very excited about her upcoming role as Youth Music Director for Seussical!
