That TCP gives financial support to a number of organizations is nothing new.  TCP has a history of giving back to the community that it calls home, and has committed to “give back” as one of its guiding principles.  Over the years, TCP has given in excess of $50,000 to various organizations in the community, ranging from helping the homeless, stocking the shelves of the food bank, assisting those with addictions, clothing community bands, to name just a few.  But TCP’s gifts aren’t limited to those in need.  Part of ‘giving’ means investing in the community – helping it grow and develop.  Most notable in that regard were the significant contributions TCP made to the Wilmot Recreation Complex.

Why does TCP do it?  Why would a charitable organization like TCP make it a priority to give back?  At $50,000 and counting, TCP welcomes the opportunity to help, and believes in the positive possibilities that await us all.  It’s part of how TCP continues to strive to earn the right to be “community theatre at its very best” – both on stage, and off.  Performing with passion.  Giving with compassion.  Investing with hope.

a tradition of giving back

For 26 years The Community Players of New Hamburg have been presenting musical productions and have earned a widespread reputation for creating visually stunning, professional-calibre theatre. The Community Players is a charitable and volunteer organization with the mandate of giving back a portion of proceeds into the community from each show.

Since 1984, TCP has proudly given back more than $50,000 to the community. Whether it is in support of the local food bank or counseling centre, community projects such as Wilmot’s new Multi-use recreational facility or simply helping out other community groups like ourselves, TCP keeps the community at the forefront of all our activities.

Purchasing a ticket to our shows, ensures that you will enjoy high-calibre theatre, as well as helping us to continue to offer financial support where it is needed. come be a part of the TCP experience … community theatre at its very best!
