The Community Players have designed and erected a permanent advertising sign, located next to highway 7&8 in New Hamburg in front of Tim Hortons and Alloy Castings.Thousands of cars pass by this busy location each day and it has proven to be a valuable marketing vehicle for TCP. All community organizations and local event organizers in Wilmot Township are welcome and encouraged to make use of this sign.

In keeping with our community focus, messaging on this sign throughout the year is FREE OF CHARGE. Groups using the sign, wishing to make donations to TCP to help offset the cost of construction, maintenance and purchase of new letters are welcome to do so.

The following stipulations do apply:

  • Messaging must be for a charitable or non profit group, or be of some local benefit (ie: local event). Business/personal messaging is not permitted.
  • TCP is the owner of the sign and has exclusive use of the sign from November to May. (Special exceptions can be made within these time frames, please ask us for details.)
  • Groups using the sign for annual events will be guaranteed the same space on a yearly basis and/or given the first right of refusal.
  • Initial applications for sign use must be made in writing to TCP. Minimum advertising period on the sign is two weeks. Currently, only white single line letters are available for the sign. The sign is double sided with 7 lines available for your message. If you choose, different sides can have
    different messages.

Highway Sign Re-Construction

In November 2009, the highway sign went through a much needed reconstruction. The new sign improves upon its predecessor – in its sturdy construction, easy to replace letters and extra space (7 rows not 6) for message text. TCP is once again accepting requests to display event details for local non-profit groups who wish to use the sign for promotion.

Partnership With Aldaview Services

The vocation skills program at Aldaview Services works with TCP to manage updates to the Highway Sign on a regular basis. TCP is delighted that Aldaview has agreed to offer this service to the community and appreciate their dillegence and hard work!
